The brief

FlowPriority monitors the patient population continuously instead of guessing when results will land, so no one is called in for an appointment that had nothing new to say. Developed at Odense University Hospital.

OUR CONTRIBUTION

Concept and production of one film, built around consultant Kenneth Pedersen and the logic of the system: what happens today, what it costs, and what changes when the order is reversed.

Being called in for an appointment that turns out to be pointless is not a small thing. You take the day off. You arrange the transport. You carry the worry the whole way there. And then there was nothing new to say.

FlowPriority, developed at Odense University Hospital, monitors the patient population continuously instead of guessing when results will land. Patients who are ready for action surface in the clinic in a few clicks. The rest are not called in.

Across a five month test period in the liver cancer outpatient clinic, administrative staff saved five to seven hours a week and physicians two to four. Fewer consultations were cancelled on patients.

We built the film around consultant Kenneth Pedersen, who leads the department, and let the logic of the system carry the structure: what happens today, what it costs, and what changes when the order is reversed.
